Allied Health Division: HSE 101

The allied health division has resurrected HSE 101, a 1-credit hour course, for students who are interested in our health career programs but are undecided and would like a little information about our various programs.

In the Schedule of Classes, it is listed under Health Sciences Education:
HSE 101 J001 8771 on TR 11:00-11:50AM taught on Cooper campus.

Since this is a 1 cr class that meets twice / week, it will be finished at midterm, March 8, 2015.

The course will highlight the programs in the Allied Health Division and Nursing Division, as well as some of our programs that are under Medical Information Technology. Not everyone who works in health care works with patients. If time allows, associate degree programs at other area colleges/universities will also be presented.

An emphasis will be on the 2-year technical degree that dovetails with 4-year degrees such as the Bachelor in Health Science degree.

This course is also appropriate for students who are in transitional courses: RDG 20, RDG 30, and ENC 90.
